Time Management for Creating Content on Social Media

It can be hard to find time to invest in creating social media posts. But publishing quality content consistently is key to growing your business. Let’s talk about a few tips to save you time.

1. First, be sure you’re spending your time wisely. You should be creating one reel per day and two stories per day.

2. Reels are being rewarded by the algorithm right now, so be sure you’re creating 3 per week. My best tip for reals is try to create them in batches. Making your reels ahead of time gives you content ready to publish throughout the week.

3. Create one story per day, this can be lighter content and quicker to create. Something as simple as updating followers on what you’re working on right now, a relevant quote, poll, this-or-that, or a personal update.

4. Reuse content, and keep it fresh. If you write a blog post, create a complimentary reel or story as a teaser, and link to your blog so that followers can learn more while driving traffic to your website.

5. Automate routine tasks with AI. Like using bot responses for commonly asked questions. Or using ChatGPT to help flesh out captions, and suggest hashtags and emojis.

6. Plan ahead and reduce stress by using using a Calendar. This could be as simple as a paper desktop calendar or the Calendar app on your phone. I recommend the Store Rapport Social Media Calendar so you can plan out your content and captions, organize links to your media assets, and collaborate with the other creators on your team.

7. If you have trouble posting on time, use a scheduler. Most social media apps give you the option to schedule your post to be published at a future time. Or you can schedule posts to publish to multiple platforms with apps like Hootsuite.

By prioritizing the creation of reels, repurposing content, automating tasks, and using scheduling tools, you can fine-tune your social media strategy. Spend your time wisely, plan ahead, and maintain consistency for a powerful online presence. Let’s do a social media challenge!
